When I was first asked to review this book, I didn’t think much about it since I have read training books before and generally they are all about the same in my opinion. After opening the book, it immediately held my attention due to Niki’s ability to tie together her vast personal experiences to the area of being a better teacher and mentor through understanding the training of individuals. That is not a typo, the book reads so well that it is not just a “training guide” but a full-blown manual on how to be a teacher, mentor, and manager of people. I cannot speak highly enough about this book nor its author to anyone involved in this field. The book was impossible to stop reading, the author is a true forerunner in the field with knowledge from all facets of life, and the individuals in the field are bettering the world through their kindness and willingness to make other peoples' relationships better with their animals, even if it is an uphill battle. All that being said, I highly recommend this book and, if you are reading this, thank you for your effort to make the relationship between humans and animals just a little bit better.
