Puppy Essentials – Getting Started – Your Virtual Guide

One of the things we have noticed as professional Dog Trainers, having thousands of hours of experience helping Pet Dog Owners teach their dogs, is that if the owners do not have the pre-requisite mechanical skills underpinned with some important and specific knowledge then training programs can quickly fall apart. Key mechanical skills and an understanding of the process and methodology need to be the start of an effective pet dog training program. This short and fun, interactive, training resource can be used to get Pet Owners off to a flying start before or at the onset of their dog training program.
This curriculum, which can be used in person or as a virtual guide, teaches Pet Owners the top five essential pieces of knowledge and top five skills, they need to successfully move through a dog training program. Afterall, dog training is a mechanical skill and effective dog training is reliant on pet dog owners understanding how to apply these mechanical components to real life scenarios. And, with any skill, the underlying knowledge needs to be in place, so the owner understands why they are doing something in a particular way at a particular time! The focus of the presentation is on the procedural skills required and the critical knowledge. The following is presented with recommended homework and key points to cover.
