Welcome to DogNostics and to this indispensable training resource!

As professional dog trainers and behavior consultants, we understand how frustrating it is for pet dog guardians and pet care providers when a pet has a problematic response to a harness.

We want all pets and their guardians to enjoy walking together and recognize that teaching a dog to happily wear a harness is fundamental if this is to occur.

Ideally, you should follow this 10-step plan to ensure that the dog loves his/her harness from the moment it is introduced; however, the plan is an invaluable tool for anyone whose dog already has a negative response to a harness.

Follow each of the steps and you should soon have a dog that loves his harness.

Please note, dogs without a pre-existing problematic response to a harness will pass through the training steps more quickly than those who have a negative association with a harness. Advance at a rate that is comfortable for the dog.
